About the position

The position serves as a program analyst within the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), specifically in the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-6, Enterprise Computing Services Division, located at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role involves analyzing and managing program requirements, particularly during the Army Program Objective Memorandum (POM) builds, and ensuring compliance with various regulations and guidelines. The analyst will also track funding adjustments and prepare necessary reports to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Management Decision Package (MDEP) program analyst and DCS representative during Army Program Objective Memorandum (POM) builds.
• Research and analyze new and proposed legislation and regulations to determine program requirements and impact.
• Conduct requirements analyses using Defense Planning Guidance, the DoD Force Planning Construct, The Army Plan, Army G-3, and Manning Program Evaluation Group (PEG).
• Establish MDEP metrics and prepare Program Assessment Form (PAF) for submission to PEG/Army Budget Office (ABO).
• Track POM positions and run reports from Army PPBE database, PPBE Tools, and the Army G-6 cDigital database (cDigital).
• Analyze Army Budget Office (ABO) Funding Letter adjustments and prepare impact statements on programs.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience evaluating funding data to ensure program requirements are accurately reflected.
• Experience allocating resources ensuring compliance with program objectives.
• Experience coordinating with various stakeholders to gather necessary information for detailed reports.
• Experience utilizing automated systems and programs such as Army PPBE database, PPBE Tools, and Army cDigital database.
