About the position

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the USSPACECOM's IT service delivery model including operating concepts, technology, and capabilities to manage delivered service offerings, performance metrics, and costs. Manages the command's C4 life-cycle management, road-map, and financial plans for ensuring C4 services meet or exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as C4 technology advisor.
  • Oversees and operates IT portfolio organization and execution.
  • Conducts analysis, selection, control, and evaluation of IT enterprise investment decisions.
  • Coordinates and confers with outside organizations on enterprise information environment portfolio application and system architectures, requirements, planning, development, and acquisition.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Advanced degree(s) are preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a closely-related discipline is highly desired.
  • Minimum certification and education required to meet standards outlined in DoD 8140.03.
  • Specialized experience must include applying C4 systems and associated IT policies, principles, concepts, methods and practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in IT governance and portfolio management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management processes.
  • Ability to communicate concisely both orally and in writing.
