About the position

The position involves managing and overseeing multiple concurrent IT projects at Corning, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The role requires designing communication plans, monitoring project alignment with vendors, and facilitating a collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will employ Agile methodologies, develop project plans, and ensure compliance with Corning's quality processes while acting as a servant leader to the project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of multiple concurrent projects and resource teams.
  • Employ Agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, financial tracking, risk management plans, and project documentation.
  • Ensure all Corning Quality Processes are followed and required artifacts are maintained.
  • Act as a servant leader to team members to meet key milestones and resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Connect with customers to comprehend their needs and the value of the solution provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management, focusing on IT and software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of business and operational processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Self-directing and able to handle ambiguous tasks.
  • PMP Certified.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Product Service Delivery Model.
  • 10+ years of prior experience as a Program Manager with domain experience.
  • 5+ years of direct supervisory experience of virtual teams.
  • Experience using Agile Tools such as Kanban Boards, JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, or Planview.
  • Experience with Digital Transformation and automating project management processes.
  • Scrum Certified.
  • Agile Certified.
  • Domain Certifications in SAP, SFDC, Cyber Security, Manufacturing Engineering Systems, and Infrastructure.
