About the position

The IT Program Manager will oversee and coordinate various technology initiatives within the financial industry, focusing on collaboration among tech executives and their teams. This role involves leadership in a matrix organization, ensuring project timelines are met, risks are mitigated, and effective communication is maintained across stakeholders. The position is a contract role lasting over 12 months, with a significant emphasis on relationship building and status reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate among tech execs and their delegates across ERFT, as well as interface with Application Support and Engineering, enterprise program managers, and application teams.
  • Work with tech execs and delegates to influence and escalate as necessary to meet target dates and mitigate risks.
  • Provide leadership in a matrix organization of skilled architects, engineers, and business partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Status reporting.
  • Issue escalation.
  • Risk mitigation.
  • Key messaging / Communication - written and verbal.
  • Deliverable date management.
  • Forecasting.
  • Financial tracking (depending on project).

Requirements

  • Background/education in technology (Bachelor's Degree) and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with MRA / regulatory programs.
  • Management consulting background or history of solving unique challenges to managing large programs.
  • Hands-on experience putting together trending on progress via several systems.
  • Excel Formulas, Pivoting, Lookups experience.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills to senior leaders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with local and remote co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
