About the position

The IT Program Manager will oversee and coordinate various program routines and ensure alignment with target outcomes in a financial industry setting. This role involves establishing relationships with stakeholders, managing dependencies, and facilitating communication across multiple organizations to achieve project goals. The position is a contract role lasting 12 months, requiring a self-driven individual with strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the target outcomes in partnership with stakeholders and leaders
  • Build relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, including Compliance and Risk
  • Coordinate and facilitate program routines such as kick-off meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder meetings
  • Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple organizations
  • Promote communication and collaboration to achieve target outcomes and timelines
  • Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal
  • Provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership regarding target outcomes, delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
  • Ensure execution aligns with target outcomes by working with sponsors and stakeholders
  • Ensure work delivered complies with Enterprise Change Management standards
  • Track success metrics and review performance with stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage financials and assist with resource planning for the program
  • Provide input to define and improve the Change Management process for the Portfolio
  • Promote collaboration within and across teams
  • Achieve sustainable results

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with working in an agile SDLC methodology environment
  • Self-driven, innovative, and pushes for high-quality measurable outcomes
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to identify root causes to solve complex problems in unstable situations
  • Ability to influence decisions using factual and emotional points
  • Collaborative working style with stakeholders and senior managers

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of software development and hands-on application development experience
  • Experience managing risk, dependencies, and impediments
  • Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices
  • Ability to utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance
  • Basic awareness of architecture and design
