About the position

The Program Manager will oversee multiple major IT development projects, particularly focusing on modernization initiatives within the healthcare sector. This role serves as the primary contact for the Master Contractor with the State, ensuring effective management of contract operations and project execution. The Program Manager will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture and implementing best practices in project management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for the Master Contractor with the State regarding the Contract.
• Perform overall management for Contract support operations.
• Negotiate and make binding decisions for the Master Contractor.
• Develop and implement appropriate procedures and reporting for the implementation consistent with the overall program.
• Manage project risks and issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with PMI methodology and continual process improvement efforts.
• Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in program or project management with a minimum of 2 years in healthcare project management.
• At least 8 years of experience in supervision or oversight of large IT or complex systems-related programs or projects.
• Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems.
• Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment considering physical, social, psychological, and environmental dynamics.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in managing IT modernization projects.
