About the position

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly qualified IT Program Manager to oversee and direct the efforts of an IT service support team with the Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA) based out of Ft. Liberty, NC. The role involves managing program objectives, interfacing with the contract leadership team, and ensuring the successful delivery of IT services for the Department of Army on behalf of the U.S. Army G2.

Responsibilities

  • Providing oversight and management of contractor personnel responsible for various geographic regions worldwide.
  • Developing and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization.
  • Directing contract functions for multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
  • Formulating, reviewing, and approving task plans and deliverables in accordance with Government and corporate approved plans.
  • Assisting in hiring, managing, and evaluating contract personnel.
  • Developing and instilling a pro-active, collaborative environment and culture for personnel to enhance government operations.
  • Providing overall leadership and guidance concerning all contractor personnel assigned to the TO, including assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising ongoing technical efforts, and managing overall TO performance.
  • Being available to stakeholders and government POCs during normal business hours and during all other times as required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical IT or Cybersecurity professional.
  • Experience with managing large-scale DoD network deployments.
  • Experience with leading teams, including managing resources and deliverables or overseeing day-to-day tasks.
  • Ability to perform process mapping and analyze processes for efficiencies.
  • Ability to manage schedules and tasks for implementations, deployments, and operations.
  • Experience in providing oral and written communication and capability to deliver briefs and papers to Senior Executives, General Officers, and Flag Officers.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts degree from an accredited college or university or military equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or IT project management certification.
  • Experience with project artifacts and documentation, including project plans, milestone charts, or project roadmaps.
