About The Position

As an IT Program Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will be responsible for directing and managing complex, large-scale programs and projects from inception to completion. This role involves developing delivery strategies, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful program execution. You will work closely with senior management and various departments to identify key performance indicators, manage project plans, and report on program status to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10 years of Project/Program Management experience on multiple technical programs.
• Working knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies and tools.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong capability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and leaders without authority.
• Proven IT program management ability to create, execute, and maintain complex programs.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Supply Chain programs/projects in a retail environment.
• Experience with implementation of Blue Yonder/Manhattan or other supply chain solutions.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage complex, large-scale programs/projects from beginning to end.
• Develop strategies and approaches for complex projects to ensure integration across BJ's.
• Balance and manage scope, time, and resources for multi-disciplined project teams.
• Identify resource requirements for multiple projects or a program.
• Provide program management direction and leadership to other project managers and vendors.
• Manage day-to-day project activities and drive resolution of issues.
• Facilitate and communicate resolution to complex, strategic issues with executive management.
• Lead discovery activities with business partners to understand business objectives.
• Prepare initial analysis for capturing large-scale and complex requirements.
• Drive interaction with project team to identify and document benefits, costs, and risks.
• Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive communications plans for key projects.
• Prepare and deliver effective communications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Finance to run the planning and budgeting process of projects.
• Manage the budget and plans regularly and escalate issues as needed.
• Build and grow internal and external business relationships.
• Manage stakeholder relationships within and outside of technology.
• Keep pace with emerging project management trends and best practices.
• Ensure project documentation meets audit and compliance requirements.
• Build and communicate weekly status reports representing project metrics.
