About the position

The IT Program Manager will oversee strategic directions, budgets, and projects related to SAP IT programs. This role involves close collaboration with directors, managers, and stakeholders to ensure that business needs are met while leading and mentoring project teams. The position requires effective communication with senior IT staff and functional managers regarding project plans and status, as well as providing technical leadership and long-term planning for SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic directions, budgets, and projects for SAP IT programs.
• Lead and mentor project teams in planning and facilitating SAP and IT projects.
• Ensure business needs are met through effective project management.
• Communicate project plans and status to senior IT staff and functional managers.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a technical advisor for SAP systems.
• Handle long-term planning for SAP systems.
• Manage budgets and oversee team activities, including assigning work and mentoring staff.
• Mitigate system vulnerabilities and build vendor relationships.
• Identify staff development needs.

Requirements

• 7+ years in IT/IS program technologies or projects, with roles such as senior analyst or project manager.
• 5+ years of experience with SAP systems and applications.
• 5+ years in developing interfaces and working with databases.
• PMP certification preferred.
