About the position

The IT Programmer Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining software applications to enhance business operations. This role involves analyzing user requirements, creating technical specifications, implementing solutions, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Perform system analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Development tasks using SQL, VB, Python, Java, or PowerBuilder.
• Develop and maintain database systems.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Learn about business operations and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a programmer analyst or similar role.
• Experience with database management systems (SQL, MySQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with SQL, VB, Java, Python, or PowerBuilder.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2 or more years' experience in related field is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in integrating ERP software with external systems is highly beneficial.
• Previous experience in the wood products industry is a plus.
