About the position
The IT Programmer position at an international automotive parts manufacturer involves supporting various systems through programming, system analysis, and software development. The role requires a strong background in IT and programming, with a focus on ERP systems and customer service support.
Responsibilities
- System analysis and software development
- System implementation and installation
- System administration support and maintenance
- Gather information from customers to create design specifications and technical documents
- Analyze data and system environment including platform and software package used by customers
- Provide data analysis, design, and development for software/application under development
- Test and debug prototyped software under development
- Research software development language and tools for each customer project
- Provide general customer service support
Requirements
- BS in computer programming-related field or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of programming experience
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, database, and IT components
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice-to-haves
- Japanese language skills and/or familiarity with Japanese culture
