About the position

At Allianz Commercial (AzC), we are seeking an IT Project and Transformation Manager - M&A based in New York. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing IT projects specifically related to mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of systems and processes while driving transformation initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. This position is limited to a two-year contract, emphasizing the importance of delivering results within a defined timeframe. The IT Project and Transformation Manager will lead IT project streams associated with mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope, preparing stakeholder decisions, and providing regular status update reports. The role also involves managing the IT transformation roadmap, aligning it with the company's strategic objectives and compliance requirements, overseeing the decommissioning of redundant applications, and steering the target application portfolio. The manager will ensure a smooth transition to the future state of the IT application landscape, providing leadership and guidance to the IT project team in Allianz Technology, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Additionally, the manager will support IT demand management and provide leadership oversight of all IT Operations services contractual agreements. This includes monitoring adherence to contracts, vendor performance, security metrics, compliance, and overseeing IT projects and process improvements. The role also entails handling escalations and dispute resolution within SLA periods, negotiating existing contract changes and pricing as needed, and overseeing volume forecasting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT project management, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions, and will be adept at navigating complex organizational structures to achieve project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT project streams related to mergers and acquisitions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing IT projects within Allianz or in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, productivity & steering, and agile transformation & change management.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk & compliance, IAM governance, and workplace IT solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
