About the position

The IT Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of IT projects within the organization. This position requires a proactive individual who can assist in the design and improvement of business processes, ensuring that client requirements are effectively communicated and documented. The coordinator will work closely with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating these into actionable insights for technical teams. This role involves creating conceptual data models, flowcharts, and volume estimates to facilitate understanding and implementation of client needs. In addition to documentation and analysis, the IT Project Coordinator will assist in developing test scenarios to validate that business applications meet client specifications. This includes executing system tests based on existing plans and analyzing results throughout all project phases. The coordinator will also participate in technical reviews to ensure that changes align with project goals and client expectations. This position is essential for maintaining clear communication between clients and technical personnel, ensuring that all project phases are executed smoothly and effectively. The role is based in Little Rock, AR, and requires on-site presence. Candidates must be prepared to engage directly with clients and team members to foster collaboration and drive project success. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to significant IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning and designing business processes to improve and support business activities.
  • Analyzes and documents client's business requirements and processes, communicating these to technical personnel.
  • Constructs basic conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries, flowcharts, and volume estimates.
  • Creates basic test scenarios for testing business applications to verify client requirements are incorporated into system design.
  • Develops and modifies systems requirements documentation to meet client needs.
  • Participates in meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.
  • Executes systems tests from existing test plans and assists in analyzing testing results in all phases.
  • Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify that the 'intent of change' is carried through all project phases.

Requirements

  • Experience in project coordination or management within an IT environment.
  • Proficiency in Visio for creating flowcharts and process models.
  • Strong analytical skills to document and communicate business requirements effectively.
  • Ability to develop test scenarios and execute system tests.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Knowledge of additional project management tools and software.
