About the position

The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of technology projects within Parrish Medical Center. This role involves coordinating various IT initiatives, managing project timelines, and collaborating with multiple teams to meet project goals on time and within budget. The coordinator will work closely with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders, maintaining seamless communication and efficient project execution while exemplifying the organization's Culture of Choice®.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of detailed project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Coordinate project tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Work with project managers to allocate resources effectively and monitor resource utilization.
  • Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and change logs.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and management.
  • Assist in managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring their needs are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential project risks and work with the IT Director to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and report any deviations from the plan to the IT Director.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure the availability of required resources for project execution.
  • Track resource allocation and utilization and assist in adjusting project schedules as needed.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered according to project specifications.
  • Support the IT Director in conducting post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions.
  • Organize and coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and distributing materials.
  • Assist with the preparation of project-related documentation, contracts, and agreements.
  • Ability to craft non-standardized approaches when standards cannot be applied.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required (a combination of experience and certifications may be considered).
  • 1 year to < 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • CompTIA [Project+] or Project Management Institute (PMI) [CAPM] required within the first year.

Nice-to-haves

  • Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) [COBIT 5 Foundation] certification.
  • AXELOS [ITIL Foundation] certification or other related certification approved by leadership and HR.
