About the position

The IT Project Coordinator will support the lead Project Manager in managing various IT projects, utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies. The role involves governance, reporting, and providing essential information for effective decision-making, while ensuring smooth communication between business and IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple projects and lead small projects as assigned.
  • Act as the bridge between business and IT in support of the Project Manager.
  • Support the IT workstream and documentation of projects via processes, procedures, and tools for assigned projects.
  • Monitor the project schedule and deliverables, tracking progress and reporting updates to the project/program manager.
  • Recognize problems or situations that may impact project delivery.
  • Coordinate the project under the supervision of the project manager.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, various IT teams, and related business unit staff.
  • Promote and maintain communication between project team members and stakeholders, managing expectations.
  • Prepare correspondence, presentations, and/or reports as required, and memorialize meetings as needed.
  • Follow up on correspondence and outstanding requests for resolution.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of increasing responsible experience in coordinating IT projects and handling related administrative duties.
  • Strong project coordinator skills including organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and present data updates and status reports, facilitate meetings, and manage vendors.
  • Organized, excellent communicator, deadline driven, proactive, and a problem solver.
  • Ability to promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Superior interpersonal skills for open communication across project teams.
  • Proven record of project coordination success.
  • Intermediate-Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with both waterfall and agile project delivery approaches.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
