About the position

The IT Project Coordinator position at the United States District Court - Middle District of Florida involves coordinating, planning, and executing information technology projects as outlined in the yearly IT plan. The role provides essential administrative IT support to Judges, Judicial Staff, and Clerk's Office staff, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the IT division.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, and execute IT projects as defined by the yearly IT plan under the direction of the Director of IT.
  • Provide administrative IT support to Judges, Judicial Staff, and Clerk's Office staff.
  • Prepare Request for Purchases (RFPs) and execute IT procurement and receiving processes.
  • Distribute IT hardware received and manage data input and data management.
  • Answer IT queries and format and assemble IT reports.
  • Receive, prioritize, and route incoming materials and mail within the court.
  • Perform IT data asset management duties and assist with conducting inventories.
  • Coordinate short-term and long-range IT projects and improvement plans for the court.
  • Work with IT support team members to implement changes with minimal disruption to court operations.
  • Utilize project management tools to coordinate and monitor projects, research, and analyze data.
  • Develop and maintain logs, tracking forms, spreadsheets, and databases for tracking statistics and data.
  • Prepare statistical tables and reports at the request of the Director of IT.
  • Coordinate timely repair of hardware and monitor IT maintenance dashboard activities.
  • Perform IT vendor management and maintain a list of current vendors.
  • Oversee courtroom technology systems and coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors.
  • Prepare equipment for disposal and generate necessary paperwork for disposal processes.
  • Order new laptops, tablets, cell phones, and accessories for cyclical replacement.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and summaries of Judicial IT Committee Meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of relevant experience or two years of college-level education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel for data management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite for PDF editing and processing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and data management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
