About the position

The IT Project/Desktop Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Desktop Support team for a healthcare client, focusing on coordinating activities related to desktop device standards, IT asset management, and the asset life cycle. This position requires collaboration with various teams and vendors to ensure compliance with established standards and to support the mission of providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure desktop device engineering and configuration standards are met.
• Collaborate with desktop, network engineering teams, and outside vendors to design optimal desktop and device application solutions.
• Assist with the oversight of the User Device Lifecycle, including budgeting, procurement, asset management, and relinquishment.
• Gather information on existing workflows and assist in creating and maintaining processes for device lifecycle management.
• Coordinate scheduled procurements across facilities and work closely with Finance on equipment needs.
• Facilitate quote requests for scheduled procurement and as needs arise.
• Review procurement requests to ensure correct solutions are requested and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain vendor relationships and standard work processes for vendor updates.
• Assist with asset management processes to track user devices.
• Manage the device lifecycle and support the procurement process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in IT project coordination or desktop support.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare IT environments.
• Familiarity with asset management tools and processes.
