About the position

The IT Project Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing various IT projects, including cloud migrations, network installations, and server upgrades. This role requires a deep understanding of technologies relevant to the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry and involves collaboration with clients to assess their IT needs and develop tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Azure cloud migrations and Microsoft 365 migrations.
• Design and implement network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless systems.
• Perform server upgrades and installations, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their IT needs and develop customized solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance service offerings.
• Document project progress and maintain detailed records of configurations and deployments.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure timely and successful project completion.
• Design build materials and scopes of work for project quote requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on project-based work.
• Proficiency in Azure, VMware, Windows Server, Fortinet, Ruckus, and Cisco technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, etc.) are a plus.
