About the position

Gejits Infotech Inc is looking for an experienced IT Project Lead/Manager to oversee data center migrations from on-premises to cloud services, specifically AWS. The role requires extensive project management experience in large data center environments, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position is remote but candidates must be located within Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of IT project management duties in large data center environments.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a well-defined product backlog and ensure timely delivery of prioritized features.
• Monitor project deliverables and milestones to ensure they are met according to the project plan.
• Work closely with internal and external vendors to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Champion Agile principles and practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management.
• Extensive experience in large data center environments.
• Strong understanding of technical aspects of projects within an Agile context.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in monitoring project deliverables and milestones.
• Experience in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Solid experience with IT procurements, budget, forecasts, and analysis.
• Experience migrating on-premise data centers to Cloud Services (AWS preferred).
• Expert level planning, documenting, and identifying project goals and tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working on government fiscal and budget management supporting data centers.
• Experience with senior level leadership reporting and communication.
• Familiarity with various levels of reporting tools.
• Experience using Remedy, ITSM, PPM, Archer, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Experience preparing and tracking security exemption requests.
