About the position

The Project Lead at Allied Consultants, Inc. is a critical role responsible for leading and executing complex IT projects, particularly in data center operations and migrations to AWS cloud services. This position requires a strong background in project management, Agile methodologies, and effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure project success within defined scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex technical projects related to data center operations and migrations to AWS cloud services.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
• Monitor project deliverables and milestones to ensure they are met according to the project plan.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, breaking them down into manageable iterations.
• Develop and maintain a well-defined product backlog and ensure timely delivery of prioritized features.
• Work closely with internal and external vendors to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Champion Agile principles and practices throughout the project lifecycle, leading Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 7 years of extensive experience performing all aspects of IT project management duties in large data center environments.
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of projects managed within an Agile context and understanding of data flows in an enterprise.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite of applications including Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
• Experience in monitoring project deliverables and milestones to ensure they are met according to the project plan.
• Ability to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience with IT procurements, budget, forecasts, and analysis for different projects.
• Experience migrating an on-premise data center to Cloud Services (AWS preferred).
• Expert level planning, documenting, and identifying project goals and tasks to ensure on-time delivery.
• Effective leadership, organization, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working on government fiscal and budget management supporting data centers.
• Experience with senior level leadership reporting and communication.
• Familiarity with various levels of reporting tools.
• Experience using Remedy, ITSM, PPM, Archer, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Experience preparing and tracking security exemption requests.
