About the position

The IT Project Manager at North Wind Group is responsible for overseeing and managing technology projects, particularly focusing on cybersecurity to protect the organization's critical infrastructure. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage multiple cybersecurity projects.
  • Coordinate within the department, project team, business unit managers, and the project management office to achieve product-oriented outcomes.
  • Create, revise, and execute project documentation including project management plans, communication plans, test plans, risk mitigation plans, and configuration management plans.
  • Track and communicate project status and demonstrate project value to the organization.

Requirements

  • PhD in a technical field with limited experience or a Master's degree in a technical field and 2 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5 to 10 years of related experience.
  • Associate degree in a technical field and 10 to 15 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of operational planning processes.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT security principles, practices, and requirements.
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture models and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of system life cycle management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of technology procurement principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the acquisition life cycle models and frameworks.
  • Skill in performing capabilities and requirements analysis.
  • Skill in performing administrative planning activities.
  • Skill in communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skill in performing needs analysis.
  • Skill in team building and leading integrated product teams.
  • Ability to identify critical technology procurement requirements.
  • Ability to conduct audits.
  • Ability to identify and document supply chain risks for critical system elements.
  • Ability to define and manage day-to-day performance of operating-level agreements (OLAs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certifications preferred.
  • Active DOD Top Secret clearance that can become a Q through reciprocity is acceptable.
