About the position

The IT Project Manager at Navarro Research and Engineering is responsible for overseeing and managing technology projects, ensuring that cybersecurity measures are integrated to protect critical infrastructure. This hybrid role requires one week of on-site work per month and necessitates an active DOE L or Q clearance. The position involves tracking project status, communicating updates, and demonstrating project value to the organization, all while working within a team dedicated to advancing clean energy and addressing complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental sectors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and directly manage technology projects.
• Ensure cybersecurity is integrated into projects to protect critical infrastructure.
• Track and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate project value to the organization.
• Actively manage multiple cybersecurity projects.
• Coordinate with department, project team, and business unit managers to achieve outcomes.
• Create, revise, and execute project documentation including management plans, communication plans, and risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Active DOE L or Q Clearance required.
• PhD in a technical field with limited experience, or a Master's degree with 2-5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 10-15 years of experience.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty.
• Recognized as an expert in the field with extensive experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Agile certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Azure Dev Ops.
