About the position

The IT Project Manager at Navarro Research and Engineering is responsible for overseeing and managing technology projects, ensuring that cybersecurity measures are integrated to protect critical infrastructure. This hybrid role requires one week of on-site work per month and involves tracking project status, communicating with stakeholders, and demonstrating project value to the organization. The position requires an active DOE L or Q clearance and a strong technical background in project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and directly manage technology projects.
• Ensure cybersecurity is integrated into projects to protect critical infrastructure.
• Track and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate project value to the organization.
• Create, revise, and execute project documentation including management plans, communication plans, and risk mitigation plans.
• Actively manage multiple cybersecurity projects.
• Coordinate with project teams and business unit managers to achieve product-oriented outcomes.

Requirements

• Active DOE L or Q Clearance required.
• PhD in a technical field with limited experience, or a Master's degree in a technical field with 2 to 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5 to 10 years of related experience, or an Associate's degree in a technical field with 10 to 15 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty.
• 5-10 years of project management or similar experience overseeing technology projects.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Agile certifications preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops, and Agile methodologies.
