About the position

The position is for an IT Project Manager (APPSW) within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Information Operations. The role involves participating in the design and development of complex Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems, focusing on system automation, Industrial Control Systems, and associated network architecture infrastructure. The position requires overseeing and coordinating all phases of IT and OT system projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and performance standards. The job is permanent and full-time, with multiple appointment types available across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the design and development of complex Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Oversees and coordinates all phases of IT and OT system projects, including planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and implementation.
  • Provides system support for technologies such as Automated Fuel Handling Equipment and Tank Gauging.
  • Ensures that projects adhere to schedules, budgets, and performance standards.
  • Researches and analyzes complex system schematics and blueprints to resolve configuration and interface challenges.
  • Analyzes logistics business processes within automated information systems and Industrial Control Systems.
  • Develops and assists in the creation of functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Delivers customer support by evaluating reported issues and recommending solutions.
  • Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders to propose and implement resolution alternatives.
  • Acts as the Contracting Officer Representative or the Contractor Officer Technical Representative.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination.
  • Must complete DoD certification and other requirements.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in IT and/or OT-related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing IT/OT cyber and physical security.
