About the position

The IT Project Manager - Cloud Migration for Data Center position involves overseeing IT project management duties specifically focused on cloud migration initiatives. The role requires extensive experience in managing large data center projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion while facilitating communication among stakeholders and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT project management duties in support of Cloud Migration for Data Center Services and Operations.
• Manage operation action plans and ensure project deliverables and milestones are met according to the project plan.
• Consult with the Infrastructure and Operations team to provide program guidance and status reporting.
• Work closely with internal and external vendors to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Review critical operational initiatives and regulatory documents.
• Prepare and track security exemption requests.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT project management in large data center environments (10 years required).
• Proven experience in cloud migration projects (10 years required).
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure (10 years required).
• Strong understanding of IT procurement procedures and budget forecasting/analysis.
• Ability to facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with security assessments and audits to maintain compliance.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Remedy, ITSM, PPM, Archer, Jira, and ServiceNow.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology.
• Experience with senior level leadership reporting and communication.
• Experience working on government fiscal and budget management supporting data centers.
