About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee the migration of on-premises infrastructure to the cloud for a leading insurance company. This role involves managing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project delivery within scope and budget. The position is hybrid, requiring three days in the office, and is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, and coordinate activities of projects to ensure goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
• Review project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
• Establish work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of the project.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Manage sub-contractors and direct project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
• Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare project reports for management and clients.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems for project personnel.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in waterfall and hybrid project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of AWS is essential.
• Adept at coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing project timelines and ensuring successful project delivery within scope and budget.
