About the position

The IT Project Manager at Arena Investors will play a crucial role in managing vendor system integrations and proprietary software development within an agile software development lifecycle (SDLC). This position is designed for a hands-on project manager who can effectively communicate and collaborate with various business units, including portfolio management, risk, and trading operations. The role is a consult-to-permanent hire, offering an opportunity to contribute significantly to a new business unit that is expected to drive growth over the next five years.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with senior stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects are properly staffed and delivered on time.
  • Develop and drive project plans and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate SCRUM-based SDLC process with development teams and technology vendors.
  • Direct business analyst team to translate financial models and reports into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile/Scrum) are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years project management experience, preferably in investment management, FinTech, and/or software development domains.
  • Proven track record delivering complex IT projects within budget and on time.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (JIRA, MS Project, Trello, etc.).
  • Experience with investment management platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ, Broadridge, etc.) is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) and IT infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to IT in financial services (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II, SEC rules).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality.

  • Experience in a consulting firm preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
