About the position

The Denzel Group is seeking an IT Project Manager to join an industry-leading organization in Allentown. This position is a contract role with the potential for full-time employment. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing small to medium-sized IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will establish strong business and client relationships, collaborating closely with business analysts and development teams to drive project success. This role requires a demonstrated record of managing large, complex projects from inception to completion, showcasing the ability to navigate challenges and deliver results in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. In this role, you will manage and deliver IT projects that support enterprise business and operational applications. You will be expected to handle projects with budgets of up to $500k, requiring strong financial planning and forecasting skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, along with skills in negotiation, influencing, facilitation, organization, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Your ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results will be crucial to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver IT projects in support of Enterprise business and Operational applications
  • Establish strong business and client relationships
  • Work with business analysts and development teams
  • Manage projects with budgets of up to $500k
  • Drive results in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Utilize traditional Waterfall or Agile Systems Development Lifecycle methodology for project management
  • Properly manage program/project financials

Requirements

  • Experience in EPM enterprise project management
  • Demonstrated record of managing large complex projects from start to finish
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organization, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience managing application projects with diversity in project types
  • Financial planning and financial forecasting experience
  • PMP certification desired
