About the position

The Denzel Group is seeking an IT Project Manager to join an industry-leading organization in Houston. This position is a contract role with the potential for full-time employment. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing small to medium-sized IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will establish strong business and client relationships, collaborating closely with business analysts and development teams to achieve project goals. This role requires a demonstrated record of managing large, complex projects from inception to completion, showcasing the ability to navigate challenges and drive results in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. In this position, you will be tasked with managing and delivering IT projects that support enterprise business and operational applications. You will need to possess strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to negotiate, influence, and facilitate discussions among various stakeholders. Organizational skills, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution will be critical to your success in this role. You will be expected to run projects with budgets of up to $500,000, ensuring that all financial aspects are properly managed, including financial planning and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise project management (EPM) and be familiar with both traditional Waterfall and Agile Systems Development Lifecycle methodologies. A diverse background in managing various types of application projects is preferred, as is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
