About the position

The IT Project Manager (CustSupt) at the US Commander, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM) is responsible for overseeing complex IT projects related to command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems. This role involves providing Contractor Officer Representative (COR) support, ensuring that IT task deliverables meet performance requirements, and advising on resolving complex issues. The position requires effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to plan, install, monitor, and evaluate IT systems, while also recommending improvements to installation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Apply a wide range of technical engineering methods and practices in installation specialization.
• Provide Contractor Officer Representative (COR) support for IT systems and services procurement planning.
• Oversee cost, schedule, and performance to meet timelines outlined in IT program acquisition plans.
• Ensure IT task deliverables meet performance requirements.
• Support multiple complex C4I IT projects and resolve difficult issues.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and leadership regarding IT systems.
• Recommend new or improved installation procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Doctoral degree or equivalent education in IT or related field.
• At least 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service.
• Experience in overseeing C4I IT system installations, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government credit card for travel-related purchases.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in risk management and technical support for IT systems.
