About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a remote IT Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare data informatics or data warehousing projects. This position is crucial for managing and analyzing healthcare data related to various projects, including networks, claims, utilization, precertification, member engagement, and cost management. The Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of corporate strategies within the healthcare analytics department. This role does not require hands-on data work but focuses on overseeing data informatics and data warehousing projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and prior experience in the healthcare or insurance industry. This is a contract-to-hire position lasting 6-12 months, with a pay rate of $40-45/hour during the contract period, transitioning to a salary of $75k to $80k plus a $14k yearly bonus upon conversion. The Project Manager will be responsible for performing project support related to healthcare utilization and quality, which includes analytical design, data gathering, and analysis. Strong presentation, communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to think and act independently, along with strong analytical problem-solving skills, is critical. Candidates should have 4-8 years of experience in IT, preferably with a background in quantitative disciplines or health sciences. Familiarity with data analysis tools such as WinSQL, Crystal Reports, Toad, Excel, Advantage Suite, Tableau, or WebFOCUS is highly desirable. Knowledge of database tools, data integrity issues, and healthcare measurement methodologies will also be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee healthcare data informatics and data warehousing projects.
  • Analyze healthcare data related to networks, claims, utilization, precertification, member engagement, and cost management.
  • Support multiple divisions by performing project support related to healthcare utilization and quality.
  • Conduct analytical design, data gathering, and analysis for various projects.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to build business relationships.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of project activities and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) or health sciences (Public Health, Health Administration) or Computer Sciences.
  • 4-8 years of experience in IT, preferably in healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing or reporting data sets using tools such as WinSQL, Crystal Reports, Toad, Excel, Advantage Suite, Tableau, or WebFOCUS.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills necessary for executing each phase of analysis, including methodological design, data integration, and data visualization.
  • Excellent communication skills to build internal and external business relationships.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare measurement methodologies.
  • Experience with project management (PM) or Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
  • Knowledge of multiple Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Statistics and/or mathematics experience.
