About the position

The IT Project Manager will lead and manage technology initiatives specifically related to Medicare projects within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of the Medicare landscape, including regulatory requirements, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects related to Medicare, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, compliance teams, and technology vendors, to gather requirements and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage and mentor cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication of project progress and challenges.
  • Oversee project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with Medicare regulations and industry standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience, with at least 2 years specifically in Medicare-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare regulations, processes, and technologies, including claims processing and enrollment systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, using project management methodologies and tools effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
