About the position

RSUI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our internal Application Development group to manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives, as well as coordinate with customer partners and vendors as needed to deliver solutions that bring value to the business. The ideal candidate will take a pragmatic approach to project management and be highly skilled at assessing gaps in organization or communication and be able to tailor their approach to the level of complexity of the initiative. Qualified candidates will demonstrate exceptional enthusiasm, communication skills, engagement, and will seek out ways to continuously contribute to the company! RSUI and the IT department are highly collaborative, so in-person interaction, team meetings, and other activities will require an in-person presence. Building relationships is a key component of RSUI's culture, and doing so is accomplished, in part, through engaging in meaningful in-person dialogue. This position will work RSUI's hybrid work schedule, which requires time spent working both at-home and in-office.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-functional team coordination - Development, QA, Support, Training, etc.
  • Develop milestone-driven project plans, set goals, and come up with plans to meet those goals.
  • Monitor progress or project and facilitate communication to stakeholders and management.
  • Manage changes to project scope and schedule, and monitor and control project progress, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Facilitate status meetings, follow up on open tasks and action items.
  • Own development and maintenance of knowledge documentation to drive standardization of project management process.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline deployments and / or project deliveries, share best practices with your peers and leaders, and regularly implement continuous improvement action.
  • Understand the interdependent architectures, systems, and services among multiple functional teams across the IT organization.
  • Proactively seek ways to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • May perform other related tasks as assigned, depending on business need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience managing IT projects.
  • Experience communicating program status, risks, issues, and ability to tailor communications appropriately to the audience.
  • Able to quickly identify bottlenecks or critical issues that are impeding progress.
  • Well-organized, high energy and outcome focused.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with peers and leaders, and able influence direction by demonstrating value.
  • Proficient in using multiple tools to organize work and communicate progress.
  • Experience communicating with several audience types, and the ability to tailor communications between clients, engineering teams, account service personnel, management and more.
