About the position

The IT Project Manager will lead high-visibility projects within a hybrid work model, engaging with a team of 35 project managers and business analysts. This role requires managing various IT projects, including software implementations and upgrades, while ensuring adherence to governance processes and effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Governance process by engaging stakeholders, preparing status reports, and conducting executive briefings.
• Conduct project planning exercises to successfully deliver the project.
• Manage vendor tasks including deliverable acceptance, milestone payment, contract adherence, and escalations.
• Oversee budget management and tracking.
• Create, track, and deliver project timelines, tasks, and metrics.

Requirements

• Seven (7) years as project lead with experience in technology projects involving multiple computer subsystems.
• Recent large-scale website design/redesign experience with upgrades or conversion.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflict.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications.
• Master's degree in business/Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in IT program or project management.
• Experience leading IT project management teams.
• Experience with vendor management.
• Experience with software implementation/upgrade.
• Experience working with, or for, public sector organizations.
• Experience with project and portfolio management tools.
• Excellent customer service and business relationship communication skills.
