What Makes a FirstCash IT Project Manager I? The IT Project Manager oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of software and infrastructure projects, from initiation to deployment, often managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet approved requirements while adhering to established project frameworks. The Project Manager relies on their expertise and sound judgment to drive execution and achieve project goals effectively. As the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, this individual communicates the vision and objectives of business partners while balancing tradeoffs between application usability and performance. They work closely with end users and subject matter experts (SMEs) to transform high-level requirements into actionable technical documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, process and workflow models, activity diagrams, project schedules, policies, and procedures. This comprehensive documentation supports successful project implementation and aligns business goals with technical solutions. Who is FirstCash? Eligible employees are granted an additional week (40 hours) of vacation after completing one (1) year of active employment and two (2) weeks (80 hours) of vacation on each anniversary date thereafter (*if applicable, the PTO/Vacation grant is adjusted in accordance with state/local municipality requirements). 120 hours after five (5) years. * SICK/PERSONAL: Eligible employees are granted 8 hours (after 6 months of employment) to be used before their first (1st) anniversary and granted 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5) (if applicable, sick time is adjusted and granted in accordance with state/local municipality requirements). 24 hours after five (5) years. * Auto-enrollment in the FirstCash 401k program after six (6) months of employment. * Tuition Reimbursement with FirstCash Education (allowing UP TO $2,000 per year) is available to full-time employees who meet the minimum program requirements. * Access to over 10,000 discounts from 1,000+ companies with FirstCash Perks! * Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program Essential Job Duties: * Work with multiple groups/teams within our organization * Take ownership over project scope, timeline and budget, and hold the project resources accountable for their responsibilities. * Drive and manage priority projects using SDLC and Waterfall or Agile project framework. * Design project plans and tracks all milestones for implementation of new products, functionality and services. * Be proactive and self-sufficient in managing risks, action items, dependencies and issues, with an understanding of when to escalate to the management team. * Identify appropriate internal and external resource requirements and develop the project schedule to ensure timely completion to meet the project's goals. * Work with functional managers and other project team members to determine mitigation plans as appropriate. * For projects involving external vendors, manage contractor resources in areas of design, development, consulting, etc. * Encourages respect and collaboration among all project team members. * Present weekly project updates to the Technology leadership team and status reports to the business community. * Work closely with second and third level Business Systems Analyst and the Project Managers to ensure all process evaluations, requirements-gathering, system analysis, high level design and any other necessary project requirements are properly executed and documented. * Perform QA/Development reviews/testing upon completion of change request documentation. * Coordinate with business partners to ensure User Acceptance testing is comprehensive and all requirements are approved for production deployment. Team Leadership and Management: * Has no direct or indirect reports * Works under general direction. * Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. * Participates in determining objectives of assignments. * May plan schedules arrange own work activities in accomplishing objectives * Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Minimum Qualifications: * Technical background as it relates to software development, POS systems, video, network, telephony, and infrastructure installations/implementations. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of 1+ years related experience or 2+ years of managing projects in related field. * Highly proficient in MS-Office suite, including Office365, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Visio * Excellent leadership, problem solving and time management skills. * Excellent written/oral communication and facilitation skills. Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. * Ability to multi-task, elicit cooperation and communicate to all levels of management and all departments within the organization. * Exercises good judgment and understanding of dependencies across multiple projects. * Must be detail oriented, very organized, and capable of pushing back when deliverables do not meet the quality we expect, or delays threaten the project timeline. * Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet aggressive deadlines. * Ability to multi-task several assignments and projects at one time. Preferred/Bonus Skills: * Degree in business administration preferably with a specialization in management information systems preferred. * Bi-lingual preferred; able to speak and write in Spanish * Project Management Institute certification - Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) preferred, but not required. * Experience with SDLC and Waterfall or Agile development preferred.
