About the position

As a Project Manager I at SNC, you will be responsible for managing projects from design to release, ensuring that all aspects of the project lifecycle are executed effectively. This role involves developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, while also interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. You will monitor project performance, manage risks, and communicate status updates to management. This position serves as an introduction to people management, with a focus on leading various enterprise projects of varying complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight on various Enterprise projects of a varying complex nature
  • Monitor, update, and report on indirect project performance/status in accordance with associated Enterprise processes and framework
  • Regularly communicate to management regarding status of project deliverables
  • Identify, monitor, control, and communicate project risks and opportunities
  • Assemble project plans, track key project milestones, and communicate status to stakeholders and management
  • Identify the staffing/resource needs for assigned projects to ensure adequate staffing for successful project completion
  • Develop proposals for assigned project initiatives, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and management requirements are met
  • Coordinate and communicate with Functional Area stakeholders, Program Sponsor, Procurement, Management, and IT
  • Maintain a high level of project status awareness and provide timely recognition and resolution of problems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years equivalent experience in business management, IT, or a related field
  • Experience with financial and reporting systems
  • Strong financial planning and analysis skills to plan and manage program budgets
  • Required skills include time management, conflict resolution, communication, presentation, and program management literacy
  • Strong aptitude to connect with business processes and quickly learn business operations
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity with significant attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Agile/flexible mindset and ability to positively react to changing environments/requirements

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience in Government Contracting
  • PMP Certification
  • Previous experience leading software/system development and deployment
  • Preferred system exposure to include PLM, MES, Network, and Model Based Development
  • Working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM/Waterfall delivery methodologies
