The IT Project Manager II position at Truist Bank is a pivotal role focused on driving high-priority capital markets technology initiatives, governance, and risk remediation projects. A critical aspect of the role is ensuring adherence to quality standards, industry best practices, and established enterprise policies and processes. The essential duties include leading multiple large-scale high-risk projects, managing project plans, facilitating phase gate reviews, and ensuring stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will also be responsible for evaluating project progress and quality, managing the issue resolution process, and taking corrective actions as necessary. Developing strong business relationships to anticipate and address client needs is crucial, as is the ability to proactively develop innovative approaches and risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, the Project Manager will mentor and coach team members and project managers/analysts, providing feedback to group managers regarding performance. The role spans across the Wholesale Division, impacting multiple complex and heavily regulated lines of business, with project timelines ranging from one year to five years for corporate programs and strategic projects, and weeks to months for other initiatives.
