About the position

The Project Manager II - Enterprise IT at Boston Children's Hospital is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of IT projects. This role facilitates collaboration among clinical and administrative departments, ensuring effective communication and integration of project information. The Project Manager will support planning activities, manage vendor interactions, and mentor project leads, all while maintaining project documentation and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a communication link between Project Task Forces and Work Groups, ensuring integration of information into the Steering Committee's work.
• Collaborate in the development, maintenance, and communication of the Project Plan.
• Develop and implement a communication system to keep all Department Heads informed about the project's status.
• Support planning activities by creating flow charts, conducting focus groups, and facilitating related activities.
• Provide technical support in data gathering and analysis for Project Sponsors.
• Coordinate tasks between functional and technical project team members and manage vendor interactions.
• Ensure interdependent tasks are aligned and performed in the correct sequence.
• Maintain minutes and meeting reports of all project activities.
• Synthesize information between meetings and assist Task Forces in meeting goals and objectives.
• Ensure delegated and assigned tasks are completed on time.
• Stay current in project management field and share knowledge with the project management team.
• Coach and mentor project leads using the Project Management Guideline Manual.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a closely related field.
• 5 years of directly related experience in project management.
• Strong analytical skills to collect and summarize information from diverse sources.
