The IT Project Manager III position at Computer Consultants International is a critical role that supports the Medical Examiner's office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The primary responsibility of the IT Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget constraints. This involves acquiring necessary resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants to ensure that projects are delivered according to the established plan. The IT Project Manager will define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the IT Project Management Office's (PMO) processes and goals. In this role, the IT Project Manager will collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the County's objectives. Effective communication is essential, as the Project Manager will be responsible for conveying project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. Ongoing liaison with project stakeholders is crucial to set and manage project expectations continuously. The Project Manager will plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, track project milestones and deliverables, and determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team. The IT Project Manager will analyze results, troubleshoot problem areas, and define project success criteria, disseminating them to all involved parties throughout the project lifecycle. Conducting project postmortems and creating recommendations reports will help identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. The role also requires estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals within established timelines, drafting and submitting budget proposals, and recommending budget changes as necessary. The Project Manager will track and monitor project member time and associated costs, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel, and assess the need for additional staff or consultants during the project cycle. Managing projects from inception to completion, the IT Project Manager will develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents, delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, and identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Additionally, the Project Manager will identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths, develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, and proactively manage changes in project scope while devising contingency plans for potential crises.
