About the position

GCI's IT Project Manager III is responsible for leading multiple concurrent IT projects to successful completion. This role involves providing overall direction for technology development and vendor solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The position requires expertise in various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and covers a wide range of IT solutions such as website development, mobile applications, and telecom systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent IT projects to completion.
• Provide overall direction for technology development and vendor solutions.
• Analyze project variances, highlight risks, and verify project requirements.
• Manage project initiation, vendor management, and business case development.
• Develop and maintain project milestones, schedules, budgets, and overall project health status.
• Oversee and manage a disciplined project team of technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Define project scope and prioritization, and manage procurement of resources.
• Ensure complete communication and documentation of projects according to defined standards.
• Remove impediments and assure proper communication and coordination across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Management, Business, Accounting, Compliance, Audit, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of six years of project management experience, including at least three years in IT.
• Proven track record of successful project management using SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with Agile techniques and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Telecommunications experience.
• Experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration/Delivery.
