About the position

The IT Project Manager III at GCI Communication Corp is responsible for leading multiple concurrent IT projects to successful completion. This role involves providing overall direction for technology development and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The position requires expertise in various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and covers a wide range of IT solutions, including software development, user experience design, and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent IT projects to completion.
• Provide overall direction for technology development and project components.
• Analyze variances, highlight risks, and verify project solution requirements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and overall project health status.
• Oversee and manage project teams, including technical teams and vendors.
• Foster high-performing team dynamics and assist teams in self-organization.
• Develop and maintain project milestones, schedules, and documentation.
• Manage contracts and outside consultants.
• Remove impediments and ensure proper communication and coordination across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Management, Business, Accounting, Compliance, Audit, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of six years of project management experience, including at least three years in IT.
• Proven track record of successful project management using SDLC methodologies.
• Experience in managing projects related to website development, UX design, mobile apps, and telecom systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Telecommunications experience.
• Experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Trello.
• Certifications such as PMP, ACP, or ITIL.
