About the position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our IT business by managing the delivery of projects. In this high-visibility position, you will lead product, application, and project activities within the assigned program. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all projects align with the overall business objectives and contribute to the strategic goals of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of the platform and the ability to guide internal stakeholders on its optimal utilization. You will develop best practices for content development, analytics reviews, and metrics tracking, while also assessing dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans for all projects within the program. In the acquisition and deployment phase, you will foster effective working relationships with project teams, peers, stakeholders, and vendors. Managing vendor relationships will be crucial, as you will handle escalations, contracts, and ensure delivery success. You will support teams in assessing the impact of new functionality on existing business processes and system functionality, driving continuous improvement and a culture of innovation within the program. Operational management will involve providing visibility and reporting of projects within the program to relevant stakeholders. You will monitor and ensure the resolution of requests and issues submitted, devising an implementation roadmap that identifies applications to onboard and related priorities. Supporting stakeholders as they engage with the platform will be essential, as you provide tips and best practices to drive the strategic direction of the platform. Additionally, you will fulfill affirmative action obligations and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity policy. The role may require travel up to 20% of the time and working outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday may also be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the vision and strategy for the program, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT development and architecture to deliver capabilities and projects according to the program roadmap.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the platform, guiding internal stakeholders on its optimal utilization.
  • Develop best practices for content development, analytics reviews, and metrics tracking.
  • Assess dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans for all projects within the program.
  • Foster effective working relationships with project teams, peers, stakeholders, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) or at least 12 years of experience in Information Technology or Business.
  • PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.
  • Builder and Project Lead certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of IT and/or business experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT or business analysis, project management, and/or program management.
  • 2+ years of proven ability to successfully lead projects preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale IT initiatives.
  • Well-versed in project management concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Effective leadership under pressure, guiding a program team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
  • Strong decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring the communication approach based on the situation.
