About the position

The IT Project Manager III at ICW Group is responsible for managing multiple project teams or a single large team on complex projects. This role emphasizes effective collaboration, communication, and the application of project management best practices to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple project teams or a single large team on projects of greater complexity and risk.
  • Manages the team's execution of project tasks with a focus on outcomes and integrity.
  • Facilitates effective collaboration within the team to deliver impactful business results.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve team value through constructive suggestions.
  • Utilizes data for decision-making and addresses complex issues with new insights.
  • Communicates project progress and escalations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Leads internal status meetings and manages meeting documentation.
  • Works closely with technical teams to develop and track release milestones and schedules.
  • Recommends project management principles and best practices for project success.
  • Guides team members on project management best practices and expands personal mastery.
  • Coordinates project activities, identifies resources, and develops schedules for timely project completion.
  • Creates and executes project plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs.
  • Provides regular updates and progress reports to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with business and project teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Tracks key project milestones and adjusts plans/resources as needed.
  • Communicates issues, risks, and action items in a timely manner.
  • Monitors compliance with project plans and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assists with vendor management and ensures agreements are met.
  • Acts as a key point of contact for stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Facilitates decision-making necessary for project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant technology experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager required.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is required.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), IT Service Management (ITIL), and Process Optimization (BPM, Six Sigma, Lean) certifications preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of insurance is preferred but not required.
  • Strong user skills in MS Office applications, including MS Project and Visio.
  • Familiarity with a variety of IT concepts, practices, tools, and procedures.
