About the position

The IT Project Manager at Golden Entertainment is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within strict deadlines and budget constraints. This role involves coordinating resources, managing team members and third-party contractors, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate will gather and document system and functional requirements, analyze system functionality, and ensure adherence to best business practices.

Responsibilities

• Directs performing requirements analysis.
• Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Documents both Business and/or Functional Requirements.
• Directs and manages project development from beginning to end.
• Defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• At least two years of business analyst and project management experience in an information technology environment.
• Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment.
• Knowledge of techniques for managing cross-functional teams.
• Skill in planning and preparing written and verbal communication.
• Skill in technical planning of information technology projects.
• Skill in working with groups to build consensus.
• Ability to synthesize project information and establish the appropriate scope of a project.
• Ability to apply strong project management skills and methodologies.
• Ability to create new work processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
• Previous experience leading in both small groups and one-on-one situations.
• Previous experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
• Possesses general understanding in application programming, database, and system design.
• Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet, and client/server architectures.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Reliable communication readily available when not at work.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent educational experience preferred.
