About the position

The IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of IT-specific projects from initiation to delivery. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to agreed-upon deadlines and budgets, while ensuring quality delivery. The position requires managing larger and more complex projects, collaborating with team members and stakeholders, and developing best practices for project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, and PC deployment.
  • Coordinate work done by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project requirements and performing feasibility assessments.
  • Develop detailed project plans and manage all implementation processes including resource allocation and progress tracking.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and manage project expectations.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, and determine the frequency and content of status reports.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a focus on defining project scope, plans, schedules, and tracking budgets.
  • Experience managing end-to-end projects including networks, servers, software implementations/upgrades, and PC deployment.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management concepts, processes, and tools.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and assessing IT systems for failures and disruptions.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
  • Excellent oral and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business.
