About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of complex AV and educational technology projects within a Fortune 500 company. This position is integral to the IT department's digital transformation efforts, ensuring that projects align with business goals and are delivered on time and within budget. The role requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge in AV and networking, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute AV and education technology projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying resources, and creating schedules to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on project objectives, technology solutions, and team member roles, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Conduct project discovery, risk assessment, and provide alternative solutions as needed to address challenges in design, testing, and implementation.
  • Coordinate closely with IT and business leaders, technical product owners, project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project transitions to production support.
  • Utilize steering and executive committees for decision-making, change management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Absorb new technologies to enhance project management processes, collaboration, and project execution efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with user groups and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide recommendations and training to ensure smooth post-project operations.
  • Manage enterprise-wide communications and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication of project objectives and progress.
  • Leverage project management methodologies (hybrid, Agile, or Waterfall) to deliver successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Deep domain knowledge in AV technologies, networking, system integration, and cross-functional IT hardware/software implementations.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide IT projects involving AV installations, transactional systems, and multiple functional units.
  • Strong experience in managing project communications and engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, and end-users.
  • Proficient in utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, with flexibility to apply the appropriate framework based on project needs.
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments with multiple facets, ensuring alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
