About the position

The IT Project Manager IV at The Standard is responsible for overseeing multiple strategic projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget. This role involves managing project planning, resource tracking, risk and issue management, and effective communication with stakeholders. The position requires a strong background in project management, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, and aims to drive organizational growth and operational efficiency through transformative projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple strategic projects simultaneously, managing project scope, planning, scheduling, resource tracking, and budgeting.
  • Track risks and issues, ensuring proper communication and escalation for timely resolution.
  • Partner with Change Management and Communication leads to address impacts on people, processes, and technology.
  • Deliver strategic complex enterprise initiatives while controlling scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Communicate project needs effectively and alleviate resource contention as necessary.
  • Manage project-related communication, status reports, issues, and deliverables to management and stakeholders.
  • Implement regular tracking of progress towards strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Ensure business benefits are realized as per the business case justifying project funding.
  • Identify and implement process improvements focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and customer service.
  • Maintain proper documentation for projects and conduct retrospectives for continuous improvement.
  • Lead transformative projects that drive organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Align cross-functional teams and optimize resources to accelerate project timelines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of project management experience with a proven delivery record.
  • Experience in leading technical cross-organizational initiatives.
  • 8+ years managing vendors and project budget management.
  • Background in process architecture, business analysis, and organizational change management preferred.
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions highly preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Jira, and Excel.
  • Experience applying agile methods, Lean principles, and traditional project management to deliver complex projects.
  • Ability to lead and influence peer groups at the executive level.
  • Expert in establishing strong relationships with leadership and fostering collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, and/or Lean certification(s) are a plus.
  • Graduate coursework may be desirable.
