About the position

The IT Project Manager at Dermatologists of Central States (DOCS) plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects align with the organization's goals and objectives. This position requires a proactive approach to liaising with business partners to define project requirements, scopes, and objectives. The IT Project Manager will coordinate both internal and external resources to ensure that projects remain within the defined scope, schedule, and budget. This role is essential in analyzing project progress and making necessary adjustments to the scope or timeline to achieve optimal results while adhering to established standards and best practices. In this position, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of a project are organized and conform to the timeline and deliverables requirements. Projects may include internally built platforms or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. The IT Project Manager will develop and maintain a project performance plan that tracks overall progress and the achievement of milestones. Effective resource assignment and monitoring will be key to boosting project efficiency and maximizing deliverables output. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will report project risks and outcomes to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues according to the project work plan. This role will serve as the primary point of communication between internal IT resources and external stakeholders, deepening partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors. The IT Project Manager will be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives within the healthcare industry, ensuring that projects are executed successfully and meet the needs of the organization and its patients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project performance plan that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones.
  • Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output.
  • Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels and escalate issues according to project work plan.
  • Serve as point of communication between internal IT resources and external stakeholders.
  • Deepen partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
  • Five or more years of experience in IT project coordination within the healthcare industry
  • Scrum Master experience (removing blocks, identifying dependencies, etc.)
  • Experience in coordinating teams and clients
  • Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) preferred.
