About the position

The IT Project Manager (Medicaid) will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing large-scale healthcare information technology projects, specifically within the Medicaid provider community. This role requires ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards while providing expected technical capabilities and business benefits. The position involves managing medium to high-risk projects with significant visibility and impact, including multi-million-dollar federal grants.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and implement large-scale healthcare IT projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Provide technical and business expertise for project planning and monitoring.
• Manage medium to high-risk Medicaid projects with significant political and monetary impacts.
• Facilitate team involvement in resolving technical issues.
• Conduct detailed planning, project testing, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in IT.
• Proven ability to lead medium-size, complex projects and multiple small projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of project management processes, documentation, and reporting criteria.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project.
