About the position

The IT Project Manager will support the IT Project Management community within the Talent Development Office, focusing on enhancing project management capabilities and fostering personal development among IT Project and Program Managers. This role involves training, advising, and facilitating discussions on best practices in project management, while also providing regular updates to management on project delivery and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Train IT Project and Program Managers on the use of standard tools and processes in support of managing IT projects.
  • Partner with the IT Project Management Office and Talent Development Office on process and skill-building initiatives for IT Project and Program Managers.
  • Support the IT PM community, driving continuous improvement with experienced Project and Program Managers, fostering interest in PM acumen and personal development across the IT organization.
  • Advise, coach, and facilitate discussions with IT project leads and leaders on Project Management best practices, approaches, and resources.
  • Provide regular updates to management on Project Management capabilities, tracking project management delivery against objectives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (at least 5+ years) leading IT projects for multiple global, complex technology implementations.
  • Ability to apply a structured project management approach and methodology.
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Highly developed communication skills with expertise in producing organization-wide communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to work as part of a geographically diverse team.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Strong analytic and decision-making abilities.
